The titanic match between the two bitter rivals takes place in Kandy, while the tournament’s first match will be played on August 30 between co-hosts Pakistan and Nepal. On September 17, the final will be held in Colombo. In the 2023 edition, which will be contested in the ODI format, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan are placed in Group A, while India, Pakistan, and Nepal are placed in Group B.

It will be the first Asia that two nations will jointly host. Four of the games will be played in Pakistan; the other nine will be in Sri Lanka. In addition, this is the first Asia Cup to be held in the region since the 2016 competition, which was held in Bangladesh.
