Spider-Man 2 will be released in 2023, Sony and Insomniac said today, after the success of Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Insomniac’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales video games’ third act sets both heroes against Venom, one of Spidey’s deadliest foes. Despite having both characters, Spider-Man 2 is a single-player game in which players alternate between both Spiders at certain points in the plot. Peter now has the black symbiote suit on and is equipped with a variety of new skills. Miles’ bioelectric powers have been enhanced, giving both heroes two unique playstyles. We are confident in Insomniac’s ability to appropriately use Spider-Man’s strength no matter what course of action they choose. Although 2023 is a long way off, our spider senses tell us it will be worthwhile.
