At One8 Commune, a restaurant owned by Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma located in Mumbai, the couple graciously hosted a gathering of IPL 2023’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) players and support staff.
Kohli and Sharma looked effortlessly stylish in their casual attire, while the team members, including Faf du Plessis, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood, and Wanindu Hasaaranga, to name a few, chose vibrant shirts and pants to complement their personalities.
The RCB team arrived at the venue in their team bus, and some players even brought their families along to join the festivities.
After an unfavorable game against Mumbai, Kohli and Sharma’s restaurant provided the perfect setting for the RCB team to unwind and bond before their next game against the Rajasthan Royals on May 15 in Jaipur. However, the road to the playoffs for RCB in the IPL 2023 is not an easy one. The team must win all their remaining three games and must secure significant victories to improve their net run rate, adding to the pressure they already face.
RCB’s upcoming schedule includes matches against RR, SRH, and GT, with the first two being away games and the last one being their final home game of the season at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Presently, the team is positioned at the seventh spot on the IPL 2023 players’ list, with Faf du Plessis leading the way.
In the previous game against MI, Kohli had a lackluster performance, scoring just one run. With RCB losing two games in a row, they need their star batter to step up his game. Kohli is the second-highest run-scorer for RCB, accumulating 420 runs in 11 games.
Although he has been consistent in scoring runs, he has struggled to accelerate during the middle overs of the innings. With RCB’s playoff hopes hanging in the balance, Kohli must deliver an exceptional performance to take the team through.
