Later, he became a bus conductor with the Bangalore Transport Service. It was during this time that he developed a strong interest in acting.
At the time of the birth centenary celebrations of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and the legendary Telugu actor N. T. Rama Rao (NTR) in Vijayawada last month, Rajinikanth shared that he was greatly inspired by NTR’s performance as Duryodhana in the film ‘Srikrishna Pandaviyam.’ This experience fueled his passion for acting, as he received appreciation for his portrayal of the character during a function while working as a bus conductor.
Rajinikanth started his acting career with the film ‘Apoorva Raagangal’ in the year 1975, which was directed by K. Balachander. Although he started with supporting roles, he quickly established himself as a leading actor and never looked back. He has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam films.
